Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Taylor Tides operates TaylorTides.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit our website or contact us, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

You can browse our website without submitting your name or contact information.

If you use our contact form, we receive the information you submit, such as your name, email address, selected topic or product, and message. We use this information to respond to your inquiry.

If you contact us through WhatsApp, we receive your message and the contact or profile information WhatsApp makes available. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy also applies to your use of that service.

Please do not submit medical records, sensitive health information, passwords or payment-card details through our contact form.

Website analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website and to help improve it. Analytics may collect pages viewed, website interactions, approximate location, browser and device information, and cookie or similar identifiers.

Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. However, analytics information is not necessarily fully anonymous. Learn more about Google Analytics’ data practices.

Our hosting provider may also process technical information, including IP addresses and request logs, to deliver the website, maintain security and diagnose problems.

How information is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Service providers supporting our website may process information on our behalf. These include Netlify for hosting and contact-form handling, and Google for analytics. Authorized people who manage or maintain the website may access information needed for their work.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, security threats or protect legal rights.

How information is stored

Our current Google Analytics settings retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period restarts with new activity. These settings do not limit how long aggregated standard reports remain available.

Contact-form submissions may be stored by Netlify. Messages and related correspondence may also remain in the communication services used to respond to you. Their retention is separate from our Google Analytics settings.

You can contact us to ask about information we hold or request its deletion. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve an outstanding matter.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit a contact form or send a message.

Your browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions and does not necessarily prevent all technical data collection.

Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. To make a request, use our contact page and identify your message as a privacy request.

Children’s privacy

TaylorTides.com is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and arrange appropriate deletion.
