CAGRILINTIDE CLINICAL STUDIES
Cagrilintide Clinical Trials: The Weight-Loss Data
Investigational evidence, and why "trial data" isn't "approval"
Cagrilintide clinical trials are active and ongoing, mostly focused on weight management — but cagrilintide remains investigational. This page covers the study evidence; for legal status, see cagrilintide's regulatory status.
The REDEFINE Program
Cagrilintide has been studied in Phase 3 trials. In the REDEFINE 1 trial, cagrilintide as a standalone treatment was associated with an average body weight reduction of roughly 11.8% over 68 weeks, compared with about 2.3% for placebo. It has also been studied in combination with semaglutide (as CagriSema).

Reading Investigational Data Carefully
Even large Phase 3 results are part of an ongoing evaluation, not a final verdict. Investigational trial data can look promising and still not lead to approval, or can change as more data arrives.
